My new painting. Inspired by the environment of ” Prints Charming” Gallery in Toronto ( Roncesvalles Ave.)
I painted this yesterday inside the gallery by the invitation of the owner, Maryam Ghorbani. The size is 16″x 20″, media is acrylic on canvas.
This painting is made as a study from reference photo of Susan Cain, from back of her book ” Quiet!, The Power of Introverts in a World that Can’t Stop Talking”
This colorful portrait painting with creative background is made from a small black and white photo in the back of Elaine Pagels’ book ” Beyond Belief”.
My new painting inspired by small black and white photo of Margaret Atwood at the back of her book” Alias Grace”. I love the use of Turquoise color in combination of rusty brown/orange. Indeed a great color exploration study for me.
This is what happens when you read Eckhart Tolle book and Watch ” Loving Vincent” at the same time and then you are into portrait paintings, then poor Eckhart with his calm nature looks disturbed as if he is about to cut his ear.😄😜😁..as per my new creation from his tiny black and white photo at the back of the book cover…
